Your home should help you exhale.
Spend time with Scott and Danette in one room of your home. We’ll help you understand what’s working, and what could make it a place you genuinely enjoy.
After purchase, we’ll send you a link to choose your visit time.

Which room came to mind?
Perhaps it’s the living room you carefully furnished, but rarely sit in. Everyone ends up at the kitchen counter instead.
Or it’s a room you already enjoy. You just wonder whether it could work a little better for the way you live now.
You don’t need to know what’s missing before we visit. That’s what we’ll explore together.
Let’s start with what you love.
We’ll spend time with you in the room you’ve chosen. Show us where you tend to sit and tell us what a good evening at home looks like for you.
We’ll also ask about the things you’d hate to lose. A favorite chair may matter more than a perfectly coordinated room. We’d rather understand that before suggesting a change.
From there, we can explore what gets in the way of enjoying the space.
Your written summary
Within seven days of our visit, we’ll send a written summary of the assessment. You can come back to the conversation without having to remember every detail.
We’ll be the ones at your door.
Inviting someone into your home is personal, especially when you’re asking them to help you change it.
You can tell us when something isn’t your taste. You can take time to think. We’d rather hear what you really feel than have you agree with an idea that isn’t yours.
Our work brings together interior design and three decades of design-build experience. That experience should help you feel comfortable asking questions, not make you feel you need to know the answers.

Before you buy anything else.
The assessment is for the point when you’re ready to do something about a room, but aren’t sure what that should be.
We’ll focus on one space. You don’t have to decide the future of your whole home to have this conversation.
Choosing a time
Once you’ve purchased, we’ll email you a link to choose an available time for the visit.

Before we come over.
Something else on your mind? You’re welcome to ask us.
Do I need to prepare anything?
You don’t need to make the room look perfect for us. Seeing how you actually use it is helpful. Think about when you most enjoy being there, and bring any questions you’ve been turning over. We’ll send you a short note before the visit, too.
What if I like most of the room already?
Tell us what you’d like to keep. We can begin with what feels right and explore the parts you wish worked better. You don’t need to want a completely different room.
Will I receive a complete design plan?
You’ll receive a written summary of the assessment. A full, comprehensive design plan is a separate engagement through the Soma Design Blueprint. This visit gives us a place to begin.
How do I choose my visit time?
After your purchase, we’ll email you a link to the available assessment appointments. Both Scott and Danette will join you for the visit.
Tell us about your room.
Start with the one you’ve been thinking about. We look forward to meeting you there.
